Saving patch actor ?

Hello

For a project I would need to have a bunch of Mac mini that I control remotely by OSC.

I would like not tu have to plug any monitor to it so I can use the two video outputs for projectors...

Only thing I don't know how to do is to save my patches on these computers from my master computer, sending some OSC messages...

Is there any actor / plugin / way to do that?

You may have to send an apple script of some kind... Not too sure about this one. Need to have a think.

I was hopping somebody might have done some kind of plugin, like this "nono bomb" which was turning computer off...
Developing something alike is out of my reach unfortunately :/
So i'll dig around apple script, thanks for the suggestion!

@Maxime: to answer your immediate question, there is no actor that will cause the file to be saved. You'd have to do that via AppleScript or some other method.

But take note of this very important point: if you do not plug in a monitor to those mini Macs, they will use the software version of the GPU which means you'll get poor performance.

You need to plug in something so that the mini Mac thinks it's got a real display.

mark, just to know, if he have 2 real beamers/projectors hooked, he doesn't need a monitor to use GPU?

@Maxime,

I use that sometimes, with apple screen sharing (easier to do than VNC), you can see your 2 screens and you can save the patch without problem.

Thanks @jhoepffner ! It sounds like a very good solution, i'll try that asap.

And also I was wondering the same @Mark , I was planning to use the two outputs with projectors, I guess on the start up one projector would be assigned as monitor and then one of the stage would take over by being set on "main display" right?

Yes as soon as you connect a projector or monitor you can avoid that problem.
