      Hello community,

i was interested on playing around with the AU and core audio actors.
But I'm missing a audio out connector on any audio file playing actor (sound player, movie player, etc.). Only the sound input actor does have one.
Thus limiting the direct audio stream chain to a sound input and maybe only playing the sound form an external software or routing Isadora sound to system and back.
Am I missing something or ist this the way to go?

You could use something like Soundflower or SoundSyphon to route the sound of a movie back into Isadora.

          Hello Michel,

thank you for your hint. I already know the routing possibilities, but it is far from easy usable to go this way. Especially if you want to use many different streams separately
Are there any plans to change that?

              Done:

A much easier way to work with sound files.

              1. audio out at the movie player actor and sound player, from where one could connect AU actors sound in directly

2\. change the separation of mp3 and wav to play in different player. Maybe integrate all audio files in movie player actor or make it possible to play any audio file through sound player with all sound features.
One could decide the player by putting the file into a audio or video bin in the library.
