      Hi,

updating some patches for the newest Isadora version, I found out that the Shapes actor does not have "oval" shapes anymore / the parameters changed in a way that makes it harder to generate irregular sizes. Any suggestions on how to recreate the effect on the attached video with the new shapes actor? Aiming to expand it to a more broader "Shape" generator, in which it would be possible to chance the number of facets, choose color of the Shape, control its size, etc. Here is a short example of the effect obtained with the old patch, with "Classic Shapes" actor: https://vimeo.com/173569139.

I actually copied your old actor patch with the new one and it looks quite simmilar.

              @ michel,

when using Classic Shapes, it looks the same. My point was that in the new Shapes Actor there are no oval shapes. And I am guessing that using Classic Actors, on some circumstances could result on not as great performance as using regular 2.2.2 actors.

as I wrote above, I used the new shape actor in the screenshot above. If you choose 128 facets this would result in a circle and with different width and height you get an oval.

@michel I found out that, with the chain of blurs, with any number higher than 9 facets, the form seem fairly circular. Redid the patch, and applied a recursive principle to modify a rather looser version of the shapes. Hoping to work towards a version where it will be possible to have more control of shapes and colors.

@michel, thanks for the video. here is the patch on its current state, that generated the more recursive version of the video. as written above, would like to "expand" it to have more control over basic variations such as shape, color, level of delay etc. 95814d-circles.izz
