I may (I hope so) just be missing something, but I have a question, I want a way to do 1:1 mapping, where I need to work with sections of the image. I would like to be able to have a mode where I can select a rectangle on the source and have an output rectangle the same size appear and thne I can just move it. This way I know I have no distortion, just the source pixels. I guess it is like a mask, but as I need to use several overlapping sections it is a little more complicated.

It would be great if someone has a solution.

You can do that with the composite mask. On the input side select the area and on the output side move it where you want to have it.

          I am blind sometimes.

Cheers this is perfect- now if I can then create a grid inside the 1:1 everything would be solved- tell me I am just blind to that too?

No that is still a limitation.
