Isadora v2.5 is Available

Dear All,

A new version of the Isadora v2.5 beta is now available.

You can get it at http://troikatronix.com/isa25beta

We hope that this will be the final beta before making this the official v2.5\. Those of you who are working with the beta, please download this version and start using it. If nothing surprising emerges in the next couple of days, we will change the version number of this build to v2.5 and call it an official release.

**About macOS Sierra Issues**

We know there are still issues with user interface slowdowns when editing your patch the new macOS Sierra. (To learn more about this issue, check out [this post](http://troikatronix.com/troikatronixforum/discussion/2960/an-important-message-regarding-isadora-on-mac-os-x-sierra#latest).) But the team and I have decided that getting all the new features in v2.5 out the door now is more important that waiting until those issues, which seem to be an Apple problem, are addressed.

For the moment, please do not upgrade to macOS Sierra unless absolutely necessary.

Dear Mark,

Thank you for your commitment. I just tried with my actual patch and there is no more problems between radio button and accented letters.

But I still have a little annoying problem, since couple of month with 2.5 perhaps linked to my particular machine. I will fill a bug report but I am interested if someone have the same problem.

When I use the Finder to open a izzy patch or import mediums, no problem. But if I use File/Open or File/Import Media, I have a very sluggish finder window, impossible to navigate and choose the file and the only possibility is to force quit the app and use another solution to open or import.

OSX 10.10.5

That doesn't append in my other machine with 10.11

i tried to open an izzy patch with the finder and no problems

i tried to use File/Open and File/Import Media and there is no problems too on my mac.

MacBook Pro Retina 2015

Hi,

How do I get the pink Isadora 2.5 application icon to appear with files when I save in the new version? All my Isadora files still save with the v2 blue and yellow Dawn Stoppiello icon.

@bonemap Mark sent an email to run a series of commands in the terminal. Try these and tell if it helps.

sudo find /private/var/folders/ -name com.apple.dock.iconcache -exec rm {} \;
sudo find /private/var/folders/ -name com.apple.iconservices -exec rm -rf {} \;
sudo find /private/var/folders/ -name com.apple.dock.iconcache -exec rm {} \;

Thank you for your advice. I tried the three commands in the Terminal and restarted the computer. The main Isadora window continues to include the V2 icon in the top bar as does new file saves.

Dear @bonemap,

Do you have old versions of Isadora still installed? It may require deleting all old versions. (Though It didn't on my machine.)

Try the commands again. Maybe it takes more than once.

Very nice. The icons to identify the groups of actors is a very good improvement. On that direction, wouldn't it be nice to have groups of scenes (a bit like Photoshop lets layers be groups on a folder)?

I'm unable to paste my USB registration code into the box for this release (either by keyboard shortcut or menu). Any thoughts? oS: Mac 10.8.5

I have run into this issue as well.

Try just copy and pasting one line at a time. That worked for me.

I've tested v2.4.5 and note that Isadora become much more stable. Even when i use MP4 & WMF files. Thanks for your job!!!

PS: But still one minor bug exists: When I use "Rebuild from forder..." function, Bin control doesn't refresh automatically. To refresh it, I have to change Controls to "Edit mode", then Click on Bin Control and press OK button. It's very uncomfortable. I think you can correct this bug in few second.
