Anyone knows how to create a type effect with Text Draw?

Trying to create a type effect: one letter appears after the other, in regular reasonably fast intervals, as if someone was typing a text on the screen? Any suggestions?

I'd use a counter actor inputting to text chopper, incrementing the text chopper actor's count value upwards each time you trigger add from the counter.
Output text chopper to text draw actor to projector and bob's your uncle. -

You want it to use it with interactivity? If not I would render the effect in another app like After Effects

hi @crystalhorizon. I have actually did it with the Text Chopper suggested by @mark_m. Not sure what I will do with that, but I think having it natively on Isadora is good in terms of performance and versatility of usages (the interactivity possibility you mentioned, for example).

maybe it is not what you want to do but you can easily make this kind of effect by typing the text directly in the edit text actor of the control panel linked to a text draw actor...
