Install plugins
-
Hi all
I'm retaking my activity with Isadora after a long time and I installed the version 245b16 win 10.My first question is about TT and petes plugins. What to install? Where installed?I have to define the path in the preferences? Under that category appear these? Like other plugins are installed? On the same route? My main interest is motion tracking. Any suggestions to start?Thank you very much -
Download from here:
http://troikatronix.com/download/freeframeplugins/Installer will put them in the right place. -
I just want to point out, that the 'petes plugins' are cpu based video effects.
The version of Isadora you have installed will performe Much faster with the newer GPU based effects (FFGL)You can download some of these on the downloads page as well..I keep mine at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\FreeFrame\GL-izzyNote: the last folder name is within the 'FreeFrame folder. Isadora looks at this Freeframe folder by default, and will look 2 levels of folders within. This allows you to organize your plugins. (I have another folder ff-petes for instance) -
Thanks a lot.
But the path in my installed plugins is C:\Users\MyUser\AppData\Local\Programs\TroikaTronik\FreeFrame\ -
That's not the default for freeframe.. it's for shared isadora components. You should try moving them to the location I gave.

Hi DusX
I correct:C:\Users\MyUser\AppData\Local\Programs\Common\FreeFrame\... that way is in which is installed by default. As Sculpture said, Installer will put them in this place. Is this the default? There is another 3 directories that installation creates:C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\TroikaTronik\Isadora Plugins\C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\TroikaTronik\Isadora Controls\C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\TroikaTronik\GLSL Plugins\All are emptyAlso there are 2 directories moreC:\Program Files (x86)\Isadora\Isadora PluginsC:\Program Files (x86)\Isadora\Isadora ControlsThere is nothing in my FreeFrameGL Effects, FreeFrame Effects and GLSL Shaders in ToolboxSomeone can clarify this a little better? Many thanks -
Please check your Isadora preferences. On the 'Video' tab of the preferences, at the bottom, you will see the path used for your freeframe files.
If your files are not located at the default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\FreeFrameyou will need to uncheck 'use Default Path' and browse for the folder that contains your Freeframe effects.Regarding the other created folders in 'Common Files', you will generally not need to worry about the Isadora plugins and controls folders unless you download/create custom plugins. The GLSL folder, is a location to save text files that contain GLSL code.(I am attaching 1 for you to test)The folders within "C:\Program Files (x86)\Isadora\" belong to the Isadora application, and generally you will not need to do anything with these (in the case that you download a custom plugin from the forum, it is better to add it to the 'common files' locations) -
Thanks a lot DusX... now the topic is very clear for me
