Midi to android

Hi all

I am in a project and I try to be able to transmit midi signals to phones and try to get sound in the same, according to the midi notes sent.

Anyone have any idea if this is possible?

In later versions of android kind of (I have a oneplusx and it works) when I plug in the phone via USB it gives me options for charging, file transfer and midi, Izzy then sees an android midi port. However this is over a usb cable, OSC would be infinitely easier.
