How can I move left and right and up and down in either the input or output windows of the mapper when I am zoomed in. With a trackpad I could swipe around but I can't find out how to move around on my desktop pc.

If you press CTRL + Left click (and hold) then drag the mouse around you can move in any direction. Hope this solves your problem.
