      Would be really useful if there was a sound analyser like the on the video player, where you can choose how many frequencies it analysers and gives outputs etc but with the sound input capturing.

        There is the sound frequency analysis check box in Live Capture Settings and the Sound Frequency Watcher node actor that does just what you have described. You only need to configure as many Sound Frequency Watcher nodes to the number and range of frequencies you want to isolate. It appears to be both precise and flexible, but requires configuring based on having additional parameters.
