rtsp feed into Izz
-
Hi all.
well this may be a easier than I think, but I can't seem to find a way to put a web stream, or in this case an rtsp feed into Isadora.
I can view it with VLC or such, but how would I go about having this remote web-camera in Isadora? All help appreciated!

@Torbjørn I think you can open it with quicktime and save it, then import the quicktime file to Isadora.
You will then have your live stream

Open the rtsp stream with quicktime 7.6.6 and save the stream as reference movie. You can then import the movie into Isadora, when you select this movie there will be a quicktime logo until the stream has connected.
Or as second option use IPCAM2SYPHON, works great but was not updated since 4 years, it may crash from time to time.

If you're on Windows there is an NDI plugin for VLC. You can get the NDI stream into Isadora through spout. I've been using NDI it allot lately as it's pretty powerful.

Thanks for input. Tried the qt 7.6.6. solution, But qt doesn't read the stream at all. VLC does though. Google says its a osx issue, and as Im on Sierra, I might have to try with a older system. Could do the trick.
I'll keep trying to get the ipcam2syphon to work.It did however work with VLC syphon -> Isadora. But I could only get one stream and I'll be needing 4.

You can copy an application multiple times, rename the copies, and then have, for example, Syphoner A, Syphoner B, Syphoner C, and Syphoner D (four instances of the same application) running simultaneously. Would this method work to get you your four feeds?

yes. It could and in a way should. but the syphon output of the copies of VLC are named the same, and Isadora can't differ between them.
Is there someway to rename the syphoner output from VLC? -
Thanks. Can you setup this app to send syphon into izz? or are you thinking to have it as a screen for video capture?

Manycam installs a virtual webcam driver. You can access it from "Live capture settings" (Driver: Apple, Device: ManyCam Virtual Webcam). Then you just have to connect "Video in Watcher" to "Projector".
