I am curious if there has been any progress on webcam to OCR for realtime reading of text in Isadora? I saw above that processing was one way to work on this. I have doubts that the javascript actor within Isadora is robust enough, but does any one know if a modified version of this javascript script (ocrad.js)  for realtime webcam to OCR would work within Isadora?

Javascript inside isadora doesn't have access to image/video data, so it is not possible.

I would suggest that an external program be used and have video sent via Spout or syphon and then send text back via OSC.

Such a program could be made with Processing or perhaps better for ocr with Openframeworks.
