I had a small job where we had to try and use a webcam- not something I really like to do. I did a bit of digging and used a Logitech c651 camera for €50. I used a UVC library to control the cameras- I first found this little max based app http://www.dm9.se/?p=734. This will get you camera control (It does not capture so the cam still appears in Isadora) and you can change the settings.

I think a UVC camera control plugin would be a great addition for Isadora. There are many UVC cameras and with control we can have the manual settings we need for stage and tracking. There are even quite a few higher end machine vision UVC based cameras that have amazing quality and durability.
Does anyone know how hard it is to do this- ie including an external lib and libraries in an Izzy pluggin? Mark?
It could be a great addition to Isadora.

          Hello,

Well, there seems to be some source code here
          http://phoboslab.org/log/2009/07/uvc-camera-control-for-mac-os-x
it's just a matter of getting it into an Isadora plugin.
I wonder if anybody else would like to try this as a coding challenge. I just don't have the extra time right now.
          Best Wishes,
