What kind of spandex do they use? I see two requirements for a good piece of spandex: 1) to be elastic, 2) be good as a rear projection screen.

the use of the term "rear" is relative here. but it looks like regular spandex screen.

Spandex screen works ok for rear projection, but not the best. You can get a glimpse from the clip of how much different the rear gets. they also have lights on so it's not

@dbini: Not only installation, I am working on a theatrical production, using multiple screens with actor interaction, and this came fitting extremely well into the process. The authors just told me they got the spandex at a NYC store I was going to check out ;-)

Showtex polystretch p5 has great projection capabilities. And it meets B1 fire safety standards.

@vanakaru: Thanks! Looks amazing. Just sent them an email. Pity they don't seem to have a dealer in the States.

@vanakaru: Thanks! I just got a 3x1 yard sample from the spandexworld.com for $15 –– it's not polystretch exactly, but should be good for initial experiments, rosebrand is next.
