Video over network

I would like to use live video in my isadora patch, but the camera is not near the projector. Can I stream video over a network in Isadora? Alternatively,is there another tool that I could use to stream video and get the video into Isadora somehow? For example, I have used max/msp to send video over a network, but I can't conceptualize how I would get that video into Isadora. -Thanks

If you have done it over network with max/msp then do the same and then send it into isadora via Syphon?

I haven't used max for a while but i'm sure it will support syphon. You do need Isadora Core though which is a $30/£17 something dollar upgrade if you haven't already got it.

Video over a network is slow and difficult, I have had some simple systems I made using it but it is not so reliable. There is a VNC tool for quartz composer that works pretty well, could be your best shot. How far is far. I use high quality cable and get good runs or if need be use baluns or boosters to extend signals with no trouble.
