Interlacing Artifacts

Hey Everyone. Quick question regarding interlacing articfacts. If we need to output files at 29.97 or 59.94 Interlace due to a combination of capture cameras and switcher.... are we less likely to get interlace artifacting if we shoot prerecorded material as interlaced as opposed to progressive? We are mixing HAP files and live feeds and we are seeing substantial interlace artifacting in the HAP files. These files look clean in quicktime but start to tear when we output them through Izzy... Shot at 23.98 P but then transcoded to 59.94 I. We are on Izzy version 2.5. Thanks!
