      Hi there,
is there an easier way to do changes of color over time?

The movie player is there to get an output from the fader, cause I can't find a way to mix only color over time.

      Thank you...

there's an actor called Background Colour that i think would simplify your process.

I sometimes take a color to rgb and a color maker rgb and link them together and manipulate the rgb values individually between. You can make a fade with 'effects this way.
