Just setting up a show now where all the sound files have been provided for me as .wav files.
In Isadora for Windows these play in the Sound Player actor.
The Sound Player actor doesn't have an end trigger or an end loop trigger.
Aside from timing each sound file and setting up a trigger delay actor to jump to the next scene at the end, is there a clever way that I'm missing to automatically advance to the next scene at the end of the sound file?
This show is LOUD and we have a really, really good PA so I am reluctant to convert to .mp3 and use the Movie Player.
Thanks for your collective genius suggestions!

No, unfortunately the sound player (see picture below) doesn't show the position, otherwise this'd be an excellent solution.
          Thank you!

Yes, that would be a solution, but one can't do that without recompressing the audio, which I am loathe to do.
But maybe there are other video formats I can use...

                  Hi Mark,

The AU SoundFilePlayer is a an additional actor to the AUSoundPlayer in the Mac version. I wonder if it is worth checking for this additional actor in the Windows version?

                  Best wishes

Of course they are, thanks for the reminder.

So there is a much more limited set of audio features available for Windows users then.

In win version of isadora audio stuff is a bit limited.

What I usually do is that: move all audio file into ableton live then trigger em from isadora.

If you need a feedback from ableton to Isadora just start a midi clip at the same time of the audio file  (tip: set master tempo to 120 bpm so you can have two bar in 1 sec to set precisely the timing) and put in that clip all the midi note or cc that feed isadora ( all through midiLOOP )

                          OR

you can yse the wnderfull patch provided by our brilliant izzy genius Lucas ( dude you never stop wonder me, really you are brilliant )

Thanks, Iro. I really need to learn a lot more about the interaction between Ableton Live and Isadora. Someone was going to write a tutorial but I don't think they ever did :-(

I personally integrate Renoise with Isadora when I need advanced audio capabilities (I am no renoise pro). Its much less costly that Ableton (68 euro), and has great OSC support.

@mark_m currently I'm not able to create a midi tutorial, but try to see that video that show you how let comunicate Ableton and VDMX ( so for isadora is not so different ) through OSC
