Simultaneous clicks with Stage Mouse Watcher on multiple displays.

Hey guys,

I'm working on a few interactive installations for a museum and one of the requested features is a visitor response survey with 6 touch screens. I was thinking of using one central computer with dual graphics cards to power all 6 screens. I'm just curious if anyone has used the Stage Mouse Watcher for a similar setup. Would there be any issue with, say, 6 people using the displays all at once? If two people happened to hit a response button at the same time, would it still register 2 individual "left mouse down" triggers? Thanks for any insight,

Hi there Daniel,

I never used Isadora with a Touch Monitor before, don't know or there are any 'Gotcha's', perhaps @Woland or @DusX can tell us a bit more. The Stage Watchers would work fine in such a case, I just tried it with two stages and it worked fine. Please be aware that Isadora 3 (Latest stable) is having some issues with the Stage Mouse Watcher in Full Screen mode at the moment, Mark is working on a fix as we speak. 

Also Isadora is not a fan of Dual Graphic cards, also the people that I tagged should be able to tell you more about this.

I believe in the case of 2 simultaneous taps (mouse clicks) 1 may be lost. No testing has been performed for multiple mouse inputs.
Additionally, I'm not sure of the configuration required to connect 6 touch screens and have their input seen as that of a single mouse (although this sounds reasonable).
Do you know what type of touch screens you are using?
If they can be seen as HID devices, you may be able to track the interactions of each separately.
That would be more reliable I believe.

Thanks guys, @Woland  I'd be happy to help test this feature. I'm not sure which touch screens I'll be using yet, I'm still in the planning phase of this project and considering multiple solutions. I'm trying to avoid the expense and hassle of setting up 6 different systems and networking with OSC.
