[ANSWERED] Chinese Language Support?

Greeting friends,
I'm abroad in China spreading the Izzy gospel and encouraged some young choreographers to download the demo. Now I could have sworn I saw the addition of multi language support in 2.5 and the installer switched over to Chinese, but on opening Izzy it was still in English. Is there a setting I am missing or did I imagine multi language support?

The multi language support you are talking about does not exist for the interface. It is meant for dealing with any unicode language in Isadora itself.

Ah! That's what I get for skimming. Thanks Michel! Oh well. They seem to be interested anyway.
Perhaps one day the whole interface could be fed through Google translate. Wouldn't be perfect, but I'm sure there would be a lot of interest worldwide!

I don't know if I trust Google Translate to provide accurate and precise translations, especially when there is nuance involved...
Additionally, offering a badly-translated version of one's product reflects poorly on the company, and can lead to significant backlash.
While it would be great to have the interface translated, all the supplementary documentation, like the manual, would only be in English. Additionally, our technical support staff is only capable of providing email/forum support in English (with the exception of @Michel who can speak fluent German and English).
In conclusion, it's a great idea, but I think it's something that will have to wait until we have more staff and more resources to dedicate to the project of properly translating the program.

@ppp586 and I recently gave a two week IZZ workshop in Shanghai to 45 students from SAFA where I work, 40 of whom are chinese. He is a Professor at Shanghai Theatre Academy and an expert in many things including IZZ. He intends to write a teaching book on IZZ in Chinese. I am also setting up a research lab at SAFA (Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts) that will have Isadora as one of its platforms and will work with Professor Zhang on his book and other endeavours into the future now that we have connected via this forum and worked together so well. I would suggest that he is a very fine ambasador and conduit for things IZZ and China related. @woland you are correct as to any machine translation. Baidu is better than Google but still far from perfect. I would also point out that most young chinese people have some degree or a grasp on english and if digitally inclined are often very used to navigating software in english. This has been my experience over 7 years. I am convinced we shall see a growing user base in China and like so many of us love spreading the gospel throughout the world wherever my projects take me. (not sure if i am comfortable with the religious analogy - no matter) Just yesterday I a proposed a workshop in a regional city in Australia which will hopefully transpire in due course. We all know it is a great tool and teaching platform and the new pricing makes it a cinch.
