[ANSWERED] Are there any current resellers of Isadora?
-
The only reason I can think of for not buying directly from Troikatronix is some kind of bureaucratic / organizational restriction. Has the software resale business pretty much gone by the wayside? If not, who is out there? Thanks.

Hi,
Software is generally a direct download from the developer or a distributor website these days. This is the case for all major software developers, I think the last boxed edition of the Adobe Creative Suite was version 6 in 2012. Since then, over the last 10 years, creative software has been progressively becoming subscription based, rather than outright license purchase. Wisely the TroikaTronix developers still offer a full (perpetual) license for its creativity server software Isadora. Definitely worth the investment and a more modest pricing structure than comparable software.
In terms of support, there is a generous user community and depending where you are based a network of expert users can be accessed.
Kind Regards
Russell

We still work with resellers, as some institutions must go this route. Basically, when this comes up, we tell the institution to have their normal reseller contact us and we set them up to purchase for the institution. Certain states in the US require it, and also it is very common if the purchaser is a K-12 school.
Whether or not resellers are dying out, I cannot really say.
If you need to purchase Isadora via a reseller, please contact us by opening a ticket and our team will help you work out what to do.
If you want your reseller to work with us, you should let them know about the Knowledge Base articles that will answer some of their questions.
Best Wishes,
Mark
