Hello everyone ! I wanted to know if anyone had experienced crashes in isadora using Zoom. It happened several times with my students (who both use windows, I´m on MAc) when they opened the control panel or the Izzy Map, maybe it was a coincidence, this were the moments that I could distinguish when it happened. Maybe it is the screen sharing of them towards me is related to this crashes?

They were both using the same patch and for a moment I thought maybe it was corrupt, but then it was tested outside of Zoom and it worked correctly ....

Another issue I wanted to ask / share is that they cannot use the web cam in both programs at the same time, therefore they must disconnect the video in Zoom to be able to use it within Isadora. Is this a configuration problem, or Zoom or Windows?
Any info that can help this will be welcome!

I honestly do not have much experience using Isadora and Zoom together, other than one zoom dance party I was involved in hosting.
I didn't need to share any cameras between applications at that time, but I am not surprised that the hardware isn't easily shared. I suspect this to be Windows specific.

As far as Isadora Crashing when Zoom is used along side, I haven't experienced this, but can imaging that a conflict could come up if the applications are using any of the power saving features typically found on laptops with dedicated and onboard graphics. This is a common issue just using Isadora on Windows laptops (solution) BUT it could possibly become a problem if Zoom hasn't bee defined to use a specific graphics card.
I would suggest doing the same setting for the Zoom application as well. I may improve performance, and could possibly be at the heart of the problem your students are encountering.

            Hello,

My experience is that Zoom (and thats worst with Teams) doesn't support very well sharing drivers, screen and textures with anybody. Yesterday my machine completely crashed and stopped after 5 minutes of Teams and Touchdesigner via screen capture. As Mark say, we have to obtain a syphon/Spout in/out in zoom if we want to be able to perform and to teak on line.
