[ANSWERED] How do I generate particle dust from skeleton points?

Hi! I am working on generating particles from motion tracking of a dancer (with Kinect 2). My question is, how would I generate lots of tiny particles like dust clouds rather than one blob or triangle etc.?
I have tried attaching an object eg a transparent ping file of an arrangement of stars etc but obviously the whole arrangement is multiplied intact rather than hundreds of random integral objects.
Maybe one for Bonemap!?
Any advice gratefully received!
