[LOGGED] Store Paths to Media Files As Relative Paths

To speed up finding files when moving from one computer to another, Isadora should store the paths to the media files as relative paths, as long as the media files are in the same folder as the Isadora .izz file, or a sub-folder of that folder.

@mark This will be a big help for decentralized performance. We often have operators and designers on separate machines in separate homes, and the top of day usually involves a fair degree of relinking media with every programming iteration from the designers.

Well, for now, the workaround is to ensure that the files reside on exactly the same path on both machines.

But take note if you don't know it already: Isadora will automatically find the files if you place them in the right directory structure. See "How to Move an Isadora Show to Another Computer" in our knowledge. base. While it may take some time if you have hundreds of files, if you follow these instructions, Isadora will find the files without intervention.

On Windows, create a folder on the C:, i.e., "C:\MyShowFolder\" and put everything in there.

On MacOS, put your show ini the Shared folder, "/Users/Shared/MyShowFolder"

If you do this, the path will be exactly the same when you move from machine to machine, and Isadora should not need to search for the files.

If you are however moving between macOS and Windows, there is no path that will be the same on both machines so this workaround won't work.

Right, the strange phenomenon has been almost every operator has been on Windows and most designers have been on macOS. But this is good info nonetheless!
