[LOGGED] Audio tone generator
-
Hi,
It would be useful to have a built-in audio tone generator for testing and working with audio setups. I am aware of some AU tone generators have been/are available as plugins but there does not appear to be anything available that simply generates a frequency tone and is compatible with current Mac systems. Am I wrong about this?
Best wishes

In Isadora, there is no native tone generator. But this Audio Function Generator For The Macintosh is free. Just tried it and it does the job, and allows you to route the tones to any output you like.

I am also looking for a simple AU plugin to create standard test tones. For years there was one in the AU plugin in Isadora but it has disappeared, also from the net. At the moment I use Moscillator from https://www.meldaproduction.co... because it is in the free package. It can do a lot and is correspondingly complex.
EDIT: I also just find this: https://www.audiodog.co.uk/ton...

Actually is $19.99 US from what I can see. I downloaded the trial but continue to get a pop-up telling me to purchase.
Other than that it would be great if it appeared as a plug-in inside Isadora.

Thanks for this find. Did you try it? it claims to install an AUv3 plug-in but I could not see it appear inside Isadora. Is AUv3 compatible with Isadora?

Thanks for this. I have looked at these based on finding them in a previous post you made. They are a bit of a pain to download and install and excessively complex to operate. But if that is all that is available will have to make do.
Thanks for the insight

I try it yet with the same result but I think it is not an Isadora problem. It doesn't appear in any audio software I use.
You are right with Meldaproduction and it is the same problem by each update. I have also a problem with the aesthetics of the interface but it is common by audio software.
