"Show stage/Force stage preview" not working?

I am an Isadora beginner on a MacBook Air. I've been trying to create a patch that displays a photo and video on the projector, yet everything I've tried results in a black screen on the "show stage" window. I've tried .MOV files, .mp4 files, and .jpeg files, all of which result in the black screen even though the video is playing. I've tried using a 3D projector as well, which also failed. I'm not sure what else to try, I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like on my end if anyone can help. Thanks in advance!

I am just guessing. Do you have Big Sur installed? This will not work.

If yes, you have to install the beta version of Isadora. @Woland would be the one to get in touch with.

@michel My 2 cents is that Arianna has big sur (given the computer desktop picture.....)
