[ANSWERED] NDI - Isadora Stage output on a EC2 instance causes crashes
-
I am using 3.0.8f12 on Windows 2019 (EC2 instance) and when I create an output with NDI, the app just crashes. Works fine on other machines. I am running on a T3.large instance with an Elastic GPU. Other OpenGL apps work fine. I'm not seeing any crash reports or anything.

Welcome to the Isadora community forum! Glad to have you here.
Sadly I have to inform you that we haven't tested on a Virtual machine/server environment as you mention above. An EC2 Instance (Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud) is not on our list of supported platforms. As you can read here; https://support.troikatronix.c...
I also have to inform you that we don't offer technical support for platforms that are not supported. See our support policy for Isadora 3
I know that you had some success running Isadora in this kind of environments, do you have any advice/tips & tricks?

@juriaan Hey there, I've been working on this with Aaron Huslage. We actually have Isadora running quite well on a very inexpensive EC2 instance and I am excited about how this can make Isadora more accessible to folks who don't have the ability to own certain classes of computers that they might need for their projects. However, I can totally respect the guidance on not offering technical support on unsupported configurations. May I ask, if this were happening on a supported computer, where would we go to find the crash logs? Are they readable by anyone other than TroikaTronix? My team is willing to diagnose and address the issue with elastic GPUs if we can read these logs.

Unfortunately the logs are not possible to process outside of the development environment.
We are actively improving the crash reporting system, but I do not anticipate this limitation will change anytime soon. -
@dusx Reasonable, we have a solution for the issue now.

FYI Aaron has it running perfectly fine on the less expensive instance without the elastic GPU, which I am incredibly excited to share once it is finished.
