Hello Izzy collective - I hope you are all well?

      I really need some help!

I would like to manipulate visuals with a music track. I seem to be hitting my head against a brick wall! I've taken the Sound Player actor which now seems to be the new method for audio playback if my thinking is correct? So then, how does that audio pass through to say the Sound Frequency Bands actor? Because I would then like to use this actor to interact with visual FX actors - such as the Rutt Etra actor.

I even tried the Movie Player in interactive mode which does provide frequency bands but it's just not working!

I've attached a screen shot to explain what I mean.

I am also running the new 3.0.9b10 (intel) on the Mac in my signature.

Thanks all for your help as I'd really like to show this fab element off to people tomorrow.

      Take good care! Paz

You will need to use BlackHole (https://existential.audio/blac...) or Sound Flower to play out to a virtual device, and then in Live Capture setup audio input using this same device (loopback).
The Sound Frequency Bands actor requires a live feed be active3 with sound analysis activated.

@dusx thanks so much for your super quick response! I'll try that. Do you know if on the Izzy road map it might one day be possible to have it all self contained?

          Thanks again! Paz

We have big plans for audio moving forward, but that's all I can say for now ;)

@dusx great news! Thanks for your assistance too - the work around with Blackhole did the job!
