[ANSWERED] Should I avoid Soundflower?

Hello, I am currently setting up a patch for multiple live audio signals to trigger effects on Izzy. Using a Behringer X32 as our board, which is interfacing via USB 2.0 with Qlab on a separate laptop. Since I don't want to battle it out with the other laptop for control of the mixers inputs I'm planning on interfacing via a MOTU into Soundlfower and using that within Izzy. However, every post I see on this forum and online suggests that soundflower is unreliable and now redundant? Is this correct? Am I better off using Sound syphon or Blackhole (seem to be the most suggested alternatives)? Mac OS of course.... Thanks JC

@jack-considine Have you looked at Loopback? I use this and its seems to do the job. Cheers, Dave

@Vidasonik I have not looked at loopback but I will give it a try. Thank you. Do you know if there is a limit on it's inputs? Looking to have a minimum of 16

I have been using Blackhole as a replacement for Soundflower when needed.
