[ANSWERED] RTMP and live audio
-
I little while ago I was asking about routing and mixing audio through isadora and the general advice was that this was not really possible and to just mix audio using separate hardware.
Then I watched the recent video on configuring the RTMP actor for live streaming, which got me thinking.
Live audio will be necessary for most live streaming applications. So how do I use a microphone as a usable audio source in isadora?
Just to be clear; I'm not talking about using audio as any time of trigger or number generator, but as something that will be heard by the audience.

Maybe you didn't notice that there is an "audio source" input on the RTMP Streamer actor. You can choose any audio source available on the system, which includes not only Microphones, etc., but on Windows 10, you can choose the system sound output as a source. On macOS, streaming the System Audio is more cumbersome. Basically you need to follow the same procedure as required by OBS.

Awesome; thanks so much.
(note for future me: look twice before asking stupid questions😊)
