As ever I'm probably being a bit dim.

I have a scene where the same video in watcher s going to a bunch of different delays (a bit CPU intensive but it works for the show) but I can't seem to get the scene to preload the delays.

I'd assumed that the preload scene actor would set everything up but when I go to the scene each instance pops into existence after its specified delay rather than running the continually the preferred number of frames behind

I even tried activating the scene with the projectors form the incoming scene set to a higher layer and opaque blend mode, but they still came in as an additive blend one at a time.

      I'm a bit stumped.

      I'm running Isadora 3 on Win10
Machine 1- AMD 1700x 8 core CPU, 32GB RAM, and an AMD Radeon RX580 GPU
Machine 2 -AMD 5900HX , 8 Core APU, 16GB Ram and an integrated GPU

Preloading is related to media files.

        I would activate the scene:

Option 1: is to use a virtual stage and do the compositing in an active background scene

Option 2: change the global layer blend mode setting to classic, so you numbered layers are relevant through all active scenes

I would take this route as well. Here's an example file: 2021-10-27-3.1.1-background-scene-for-video-delays.izz
