I'm crossfading scenes that contain movie player(s) with audio. When I execute a scene cross-fade transition (all types/durations) I get an immediate short burst of sound as the scene is activated, before the cross-fade begins, interrupting the flow of the transition. The files are mostly (but not all) H264, recorded using Syphon from Izzy. Stereo AAC 44100 Hz.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes - probably I would get better results using HAP, but I'd like to know if I can do anything to resolve this using current files.

Also - the reason I don't use HAP is because my Mac OS finder won't preview the files, which makes them much harder to work with. If anyone has tips on this, I would also appreciate it...

If they were created by recording Syphon, how do they have audio?

Can you open a ticket using the link in my signature and send us a simple, two-scene demonstration of this problem with a single piece of media? I cannot replicate this issue on my Intel Mac Pro.

          Best wishes,

          Woland

@woland the Syphon recorder offers an option to record audio, which I source through Soundflower

@woland thanks again for the response. It doesn't seem to be happening now. I think it was a problem with Soundflower, which is a bit temperamental. If it recurs i will open a ticket and follow up as you have offered.

Please keep us informed if you see this again. We will test with SoundFlower and see if we can repro the issue. But also, you should consider Black Hole because it's being actively maintained.

                  Best Wishes,

hey thanks Mark. I think you are right. Need to move over to Black Hole. I get stuck with things because change is hard work. The story of my life (and my country)...

Also - I may have had conflicting Jump Actors inside the project. I'm trying to learn how to activate scenes from behind a single control scene, and I got lost in there. Black Hole will probably sort a few other issues too. I'll let you know here if the scene glitches continue.
