streaming Izzy to Instagram..?

not sure if this is 'off-topic'..?

anyhow, just wondering if any Isadoreans have used the new streaming actor to livestream to Instagram? 

It definitely requires third-party softwares like Yellow Duck a.o. to generate RMTP data, all of which ask for personal Instagram login details so I'm concerned about trust and account hacks, and I wanted to see if any of you have experience or recommendations.

(I have had great results using the streaming Actor with Youtube, btw. But I'd love to try streaming to instagram because Isadora makes the re-formatting to 'portrait' so easy...)

If Instagram doesn't allow you to stream via RTMP, then you need another service or software in between Isadora and Instagram in order to stream to it.

yeah, this is true, thanks. I was just wondering if there was any experience to draw upon within the forum, as sharing log-in details could be unwise.

Following my post, I set up 2-factor ID for insta, with the idea that this will make a hack less likely.

 You could also make a throw-away account to stream to if you're worried about compromising an important account.

Since Facebook owns Instagram , is there not a way to stream to FB and Insta together via the FB interface? (I should investigate this)
