[ANSWERED] Cropping post-projector position
-
Hi all,
Is there a way to apply the crop actor after the projector actor? OR is there a way to move an image/video position via an actor other than the projector actor?
What I would like to be able to do is set several "windows" in a projector or projectors (via crop actors?) and and then be able position images within those "windows". What I've currently accomplished results in the crop moving as part of the image when adjusting image placement in the projector parameters.
I feel like this might be a job for IzzyMap, but I haven't quite wrapped my head around that process yet...
Thanks!

Welcome to the Isadora community forum T_Decker! Glad to have you here.Normally we do this type of thing using IzzyMap. Mark did an great Guru session on YouTube about the subject.
If you have any questions feel free to ask them here and one of our technical support members/community members will give you a hand.

Other actors you might want to look at are: Matte and Matte ++
These actors allow you to composite a foreground onto a background (place it, scale it etc..). By chaining a few of these you can place a number of video windows onto a background, and then finally send it to a Projector for output.
Another option is Get Stage Image, which will grab the video from a stage. You can define Virtual stages in Stage Setup, and set your Projector actors to target these virtual stages. In this way, you can use Izzymap as a compositing tool before it is finally sent to a final Projector (one not targeting a virtual stage). -
Thanks! I ended up using the Capture Stage to Picture Actor for for some solutions and Izzy Map for other moments. With 19 separate surfaces, I think I've got a solid grasp of Izzy Map. LOL.
