[ANSWERED] Synchronize Izzymap mapping in multiple projectors in multiple scenes
-
Hi,
I just started working with Isadora, what a great piece of software! Really gives the feeling that anything is possible.
In the show I'm preparing, I use Izzymap to compensate the image distortion induced by a ultra short throw videoprojector positioned way out of specification. Given the number of projector actors in my project, I tried to replace all my projector actors by a user actor containing a projector with the desired mapping in order to be able to propagate future corrections of my mapping to all projector actors.
But since some of my sources are of vid-gpu type and some others of type vid-cpu and User Input actors are not mutable, this does not work (see this quite old thread for reference : [V2.1 : User Actor / Video input](/topic/2430/v2-1-user-actor-video-input))
Does anybody know a way to make this work, or another solution to my problem?
Thanks
Jean

It sounds like in your case, you should convert your vid-CPU links to vid-GPU (this is not costly since it is being don't for output anyway) right before your projectors' User Actor so that your User Actor can be consistent throughout your project. You can use the CPU To GPU Video Converter to make the conversion.
It should be then easy to change your Izzy map settings in one User Actor and have them all update. -
@dusx Thanks for the lightning fast reply! I missed that CPU to GPU converter actor, sounds like the right solution for me. I'll try and let you know how it goes in case the solution interests someone else.
