      Hi fellow izzydorians,

occasionally when i save a patch and then reopen it it doesn't open correctly (scenes tabs appear but each scene is empty), i can usually fix this by closing isadora and various other apps, including Synesthesia and then after restarting Isadora and opening the patch, all is good

but for some reason the attached patch i was working on yesterday won't reopen, even after restarting my mbp. Its 8 scenes show in the scenes tab but each one is empty

Any ideas how i can reopen this patch?

      thanks, Mr J

Have experienced the same / similar behaviour on a MacBook Pro 2019 (same spec as yours). The issue for me was that the file opens and the stage output functions - however the scene editor is blank and no UI for the scene editor is accessible. I found that opening a new patch file would kick in the scene editor interface and I could then go back to my original patch to find the scene editor interface restored.

This was prevalent with a file that had been heavily worked over 19 scenes with two simultaneous Izzy map stage outputs.

It is hard to recreate and I have not reported the bug.

          Best wishes

          Russell

            thanks for your suggestion @bonemap

i found a slight variation of it worked for me... if i first create new (blank) patch and then open my saved patch, the saved patch opens with all intact

note: i'm doing all this on my MBP (16-inch, 2023) M2 Max and not my older 2019 MBP

Please open a support ticket (link in my signature), and provide the file you are experiencing this behaviour with.
Hopefully, we can reproduce the behaviour, determine the cause, and have a fix for an upcoming release.

The patch where I experienced this issue was developed on a M1 MacStudio and then transferred to the Intel MacBook Pro for show delivery. I wonder if this back and forth between Mac platforms has contributed to the issue?

@bonemap not for me... my problems have always been on the same mbp, with no transferring between different mac platforms
