playback movie stutters on slo-mo from fcp
-
I recorded videos in 100 fps and slowed them down in FCP to 25 fps, in QuickTime the video runs smoothly in Isadora it stutters very little but visible. Is there any preference or the like that might do that? Thanks for help

Reading this might be a good place to start: it's from the Help pages on the Troikatronix website.

I don't say, this is the case here, but out of experience: Especially, if there are horizontal movements, it is crucial to calculate the speed of the moving object to be at a multiple of the refresh rate, but more importantly of the pixels it has to move across the screen. As the movement is separated in pixel stops, the amount of pixels from frame to frame can vary, if not a multiple (one frame moves one pixel, next frame two or even three, depending on the render quality and settings), which is perceived as stutter. This sometimes is not much recognizable on small screens, like on the laptop, but escalates with the size of the projection, as the 'jumps' scale accordingly.
A little motion blur can help masking it.
