      Hi all,

I'm just playing around with the fantastic DusX DMX Universe actor. I have the demo file and it all works great with an Enttec usb pro and simple LED Par Can. However if i try to create a fresh Isadora file and bring in a matrix value send and DMX Universe actor from scratch, I can't seem to get them to talk to each other. Both ports set to 1 but when I change a value parameter in the send actor, there's no message received in DMX Universe. I'm sure this is something really simple that I can see at the moment.

      Thanks, for any help,

      Andy

did you assign a channel number to the channel input of the Matrix Send?

in the first instance, changing the value has no effect. in the second instance, it assigns this value to channel 1.

@dbini Thanks for the help and yes channel number included, but changing Value 1 doesn't generate a new message indicator on DMX Universe actor...

let's go deeper: when you enter the channel number, you can't enter it with a return - it needs to be a number on its own line. type in the number and then click away.

i just added those to actors to an empty scene, added a channel number and instantly got a New Message indicator. so i changed the channel number, pressed return to enter it, and that stopped sending messages.

@dbini Perfect! Thanks so much, that had been driving me bonkers! Obvious when I think about it.

              Best,
