Stage Setup Change
-
Might sound like an odd question.
Is there a way to change the Stage Settings by the click of a button, or in my case a dmx channel trigger?

What exactly are you trying to do :) There are ways that we can achieve this, but would love to know which portion of Stage setting / which setting you are interested in

I'm working on a patch and a "Fixture" for EOS Gio. Every Theatre has different projectors. And i thought it would be nice to be able to change the "Stage Setup" within the click of a button inside the fixture.

You still might be some more specific about the parameters you need to change.
Just an example about a setup value one could go with, could be a quad distort to map a screen on stage. For the setup of a projection, you might need to move the 4 corners of the stage output to the appropriate corners of the real screen.
There are several different methods to achieve this.
1. In the stage setup (not interactive)
2. using the 3D quad distort actor instead of the usual projector actor (interactive by using the coordination values for the stage corners.)
3. Publishing specific mapping points in the usual projector actor with izzy map (quad distort on steroids). Read the izzy map how to, about it. Specifically the Part
INTERACTIVE ELEMENTS
(PUBLISHING MAPPER PROPERTIES)at the end of it.
This way, you can publish a lot of values, you would otherwise change in the stage setup.

My idea came from having the option of changing the stage setup at the press of a button. DMX triggered! As I'm working on a EOS Fixture to be presented in 2 weeks from now. :Like for Example
Channel 100: > XGA (1024x768 pixels, 4:3 aspect ratio)
Channel 101: > WXGA (1280x800 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio):
Channel 102: > WUXGA (1920x1200 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio):Best

I allready suspected, you would go there. But I wonder what you actually need to change here? The resolution and aspect is defined by the systems OS display settings. The only thing you might have to change in the stage setup settings, might be the selection of the right display. As far as I know, there is no other possibility beside GUI and mouse. But in general, if you allways use the same physical output, you most times don't need to change this manualy. The resolution here, will be changed automaticaly, matching the resolution set in the systems OS display settings.
If the aspect doesn't change, Isadora will then allways scale to the full physical output. No need for other changes.
But things get complicated, if content and output aspect doesn't match.
See this not to old thread about it.It shows the same issue, from the other End.
@Woland made a nice patch, which shows how scaling in isadora works and which options you have.
