      Hello,

      I was wondering if it's possible to have Isadora running on one computer, and then have TouchDesigner running on a separate computer (mainly to save the CPU) and then have a signal coming from TouchDesigner into Isadora to projection map it?

      I'm using the Syphon Receiver In Isadora to receive the visuals from TouchDesigner.

      If I can connect the computer with TouchDesigner with the computer with Isadora, how could I achieve this?

      Thank you!

        @nitnatnoe using Newtek NDI rather than Syphon might be a solution for you, however it does tend to be heavier on CPU usage than Syphon from what I understand.

        Isadora NDI plugin

        Touch Designer NDI documentation

        If this proves to not be performant enough, you might consider using an HDMI capture card to get video in from another computer. There are a number of cheap solutions available from online retailers nowadays, or you could get something more expensive from a name brand like Elgato or Blackmagic.

        Best,

          @nitnatnoe

          I recommand the NDI way with a good gygabite (minimum) ethernet link and a properly configured network.

          The HDMI way its also CPU hungry, you are limited with the distance between machines, you must buy a card and the settings are not so trivials.

          With a proper network, you can also send other informations from TD to Izzy and vice versa.
