Freeze/Difference Like Green Screen
-
Apologies--I feeeel like there's a guru session that does this, but I can't find it.
I'm hoping to create a setup that functions like a chroma key--isolating figures in a video and removing the background. In particular, I'm hoping to grab a still image from the video feed and then effectively erase that data from the live feed (so that only what wasn't present in that photo is visible). I've played around with different configurations of the freeze and difference actor. I haven't quite cracked it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Best

It's this Guru Session you want, the one on eyes++, and Mark deals with background subtration at just over an hour in.

I also do background removal for the purposes of motion tracking in this file: https://troikatronix.com/add-ons/tutorial-basic-motion-tracking/
