      It would be GREAT to be able to use ANY of the various plugins that I can purchase for: (1) Premiere Pro; or (2) After Effects; or (3) Final Cut Pro; or (4) DaVinci Resolve.  This would without a doubt be my number one request!

        @kdobbe These plugins are designed for a very different architecture, and generally not for live video (they each integrate with the render engines of the software they target and are developed with the APi for that software). There is no way to support these plugins as they are designed for different APIs as Isadora does not share the render pipeline or API used by these softwares.

        Rather than requesting that here, it is more appropriate to request the plugin designers to offer an Isadora friendly version - FFGL would be appropriate as this would support a variety of software. Due the major differences in supporting real time vs render dependant processing and the different API's this is quite a lot of work for the developer.

          Thanks for the technical clarification.  I was hopeful that something of that quality level would be available for Izzy.  The quality and variety of the FFGL's, in my opinion, are greatly lacking.

            Could you share with us some concrete examples what you want to see in Isadora?

              @kdobbe I agree with Fred. In 20 years I have never felt this need. isadora is for real time. If you want to integrate a video into a film to be rendered, why don't you record your film into isadora and import it as a clip into your nonlinear editing software ? What do you reckon as an advantage of the integration you'd like to see ?

                @Armando

                Please do not misunderstand.  I have been using Isadora since version 1.

                I was simply wishing that live video plugins were available as they are in say Resolume:

                https://get-juicebar.com/

                I do a great deal of live installation work where live video manipulation and filter work is essential. The number and variety of FFGLs is less given the changes to 64 bit even since version 2.  This is more of a marketplace issue, not a complaint on Izzy.

                  @kdobbe Ok thank you for making me understand better, although I don't see the plugins you mention in the juice bar so. Can you point me to the plugins page ? I checked all 25 of them and I couldn't find them.

                  Thanks

                    Hi,

                    You may or may not be interested in Vuo software. It allows the possibility of generating FFGL plugins compatible with Isadora: https://community.vuo.org/t/creating-ffgl-plugins-in-vuo/6312/1

                    Best wishes
