Montreal - workshop - basic video installation

Hi all

I am running a weekend isadora workshop for beginners on 14 / 15 September 2024 at Vidéographe, Montreal

The aim is to introduce people to isadora as a tool for easily setting up simple video installations that provide a bit more flexibility than media players / VLC / Brightsign etc.

we'll be looking at:

• basic playback and realtime effects
• syncing multiple videos on multiple screens (and possibly multiple macs)
• basic projection mapping
• scenes, automation, randomness
• convertors and cables for analogue screens

The course is really aimed at video artists who have never tried isadora before, and would like to have a bit more control over the presentation of their work as an installation - if you know anyone who might be interested, please encourage them to sign up!

The course costs $125 CAD (USD $90) - and the includes a month free isadora rental* (TBC - i just noticed the price has increased significantly)

@videosmith - ok - i can confirm it will still include the full 30 day license rental - so this two day course is now basically a bargain!
