RTMP crashing (on Sonoma)
-
Hi everyone!
Testing Isadora 4 with my new Macbook Pro M3Pro with Sonoma (14.6.1). When I turn On the broadcast input Isadora crashes...
Has anyone experienced this ? Maybe some setting I should change ? Has it already been tested in Sonoma?
Thanks a lot !
Best,
Maxi -
I'll try to test out the RTMP Streamer on Sonoma this week, but two folks are on vacation, so my hands are quite full with extra tasks.

I don't have Sonoma, but I just ran a test with Izzy 4 and Ventura on a MacMini M1, and broadcasting worked for me.

@ril Hello. I've been testing RTMP streamer for 2 years now on an M1 MAX and I never experienced a crest turning on broadcast. Are you using Rosetta ?
-
@armando ! Oh no....I did't you are right
Also I will need it for Kinect V1 right?
Can you walk me on the Rosetta activation or procedure please?
[Is there any uncompatibility using rosetta with others softwares?]
Thanks a lot

You shouldn't need Rosetta for any actor other than OpenNI Tracker. RTMP should work for you.

- You find the Isadora application (.app file), right click and open 'get info', then check 'open with rosetta'. Close the Information window. Is there any uncompatibility using rosetta with others softwares?
I don't know of any. Only Isadora is affected by this setting, all other apps you run will run in their normal way. -
@dusx I just tested it and crashed again after set ON on the broadcast input. BUT if I turn On the broadcast input without the video input receiving any source and then I the conect to the video source it doesnt crash but still doesnt transmit...strange
Maybe someone in the forum with a Macbook Pro M3 (2023) with Sonoma who can confirm ? Or a "check step" to rule out possible problems...
(thanks for the Rosetta tip...shoud I leave always checked that option ? or only when Im going to use the Kinect?)
