      Hallo hallo everyone,

so I finally got the first MacBook Pro M3 of my life. I have to say I am happy (won't show too much excitement cause I've always not been a fan.... :))) but - it's really nice not to have to re-address displays every day - if you know what I mean....)

I've also got a Blackmagic UltraStudio Recorder 3G - but this seems to show some issues with Isadora.

As you can see in the picture, Blackmagic to Syphon detects the input and once I select the proper resolution, it shows the video preview.

That doesn't happen when I try to start the live capture with the same settings in Isadora.

I tried some troubleshooting, but I am out of options really.

Does anyone know the trick here? I have the feeling there is something, maybe in the preferences I should check but, I am not aware of what that is.

Thanks for any help and support.

What is the input source? Do you know for sure that the input is 1080p50?

Did you close Black Syphon before opening Isadora?

In my (Windows) experience using Blackmagic's Media Express program to check the input settings is the best way to ensure that you have the correct settings in Isadora.

Media Express should have been installed when you installed the Blackmagic Desktop Drivers for the Ultrastudio 3G.
I usually open Media Express, check that I can see the input, check what that input is, close Media Express, and copy the setting from Media Express into the Isadora Live Capture settings.

        Hope this helps

          HAllo MArk,

Thanks for your answer. So, I opened the Media Express and yeah, it says 1080p50. In fact, only when I set up the preview with that frame rate, I can see an image.

I followed your advice. I closed Backmagic to Syphon and Media Express once I verified that there is signal and then I triggered the video input in Isadora.

          Still no image, unfortunately.

OK OK I just selected the 1080p resolution manually instead of leaving it on Native and miracle it works.

Thanks a lot for your help

              How frustrating!

The only other thing I might suggest is that you change the resolution setting in the live capture window from 'Native' to 1920 x 1080 (Full HD 1080p) and see if that makes it work.
