[ANSWERED] Control Panel
-
Hi, all,
I have what is probably a super basic question.
I don't usually use the Control Panel at all because I mostly run my own shows and I just never bother. (I really marvel at the insane Control Panels people make...I've never done anything remotely like that so I'm a real novice when it comes to this side of Izzy.)
I'm in a situation where I designed and directed a show for an undergrad theatre department and my student board op is, uh, disinterested in this job (or me...or life). So I need to make it as easy for her as possible. The Next Cue actor and Scene List are great...but I use a lot of sequential triggers and activated scenes. What's the method to use Next Cue or similar with scenes that have internal triggers and/or activated scenes need to be jumped in the scene list?
It feels silly to ask, but I just can't seem to figure out a good way to do it.
Thanks!
EDIT: It WAS a silly question; I was being lazy. So I'm connecting a button to my sequential triggers and it works great. Mostly. But for some reason when I have a sequential trigger that is only two outputs the button is skipping the first trigger and going straight to the second one. When I trigger it with the keyboard, which I normally do it works fine and when I manually trigger it also works, just not when I use the button. But if I use the button with a sequential trigger of more than 2 outputs, it works fine. Does anybody know what's going on?
EDIT EDIT: Nevermind. I figured it out. Switching to toggle in the button. I don't understand what the Momentary is good for though, if anybody wants to enlighten me.

Momentary works great connected to things like On/Off inputs, where you want to turn it on for a limited time only.
Glad you figured it out :)
Once you work with Controls for a short bit, it will all become second nature. -

From what you described, I think you're seeing a double trigger from it sending the "0" (off state) when the momentary button is released. The settings you want for a button I think are "Momentary" and "Don't Sent Off".
