You can, but you have to do it manually. There's not an automatic function to handle this. Generally it's advised to save the Patch and the related media all in the same place to allow for easy backups.
Let me understand what you are looking for more clearly.
You have 2 scenes. Both with Audio? You want to transition Scene1 --> Scene2 with a visual crossfade time of 1.5 secs ? You do not want an Audio crossfade (as is the default when cross fading 2 scenes).
Do you have an audio track that plays constant, while images are changing? What is the effect you are trying to produce?
I suspect you have 2 options. 1: Create one scene that crossfades between your media at the audio progresses. (this requires a little more patching in Isadora) 2: Run a Background scene to play your Audio separately from your visual content, and use the last Visual scene to deactivate your Audio background scene.
@administrators dusx sorry been away on tour now trying to resolve issue with your wonderful advice. just need to know your advice re sofware was quick time Im guessing would be quick time pro as the others are playback only. Have tried to download info says no longer available. Do you have a link for available software that would allo me to add upto 4 tracks of audio save and run with izzy projector
yes you can. its easy and you can do it in a variety of ways
step one is to connect your midi controller and select it in the communications menu / midi setup
step two, add a "note on" watcher to your patch, and hit the button you would like to use. On the right side of the actor you see the values of the incoming midi note as you tap your button, change the values on the left side of the actor to these values and you now have a note on watcher that only listens to this button on your controller.
repeat for any other buttons, and use the "control watcher" for sliders and knobs.
if you want to use two buttons for on and off, connect them to a "trigger value" actor and trigger 100 to turn on and a 0 to turn off your projectors volume. if you want to use only one button to toggle, use the "sequential trigger".
@nono - I hope you can still get this reply after so long....
I tested your NonoBomb plugin on izzy v2.6.1 today and it worked great - i love the idea of managing the mac from within isadora - and I especially love the analogy of the bomb - it's weirdly exciting, and the two-trigger interface is a great idea, aswell as the countdown / abort*.
Could this be redeveloped for Izzy v3? (see @Woland's call for plugins content)Could this have an option to RESTART the mac, rather than just SHUT DOWN? Could a timed POWER ON / WAKE UP be even encoded in this?
* there needs to be an izzy game with some kind of red wire / blue wire thing going on!
