Urgent Notice: Isadora 2.0 Date Related (October 1st) Bug
-
Dear Early Adopters,
Mark Coniglio, creator of Isadora here.
It has come to our attention that there is a date related bug in Isadora 2.0, that will have appeared today, October 1st. Isadora 2.0.0b4 will not function properly after this date for all Mac OS X users. (Windows users of 2.0 are not affected by this bug.)
The immediate work-around is to set your system clock back to September 30th. That will allow you to continue working until we can provide you with a fix.
I have identified and fixed the problem, and we have a new build ready. But before we can send it out to you, we need to ensure that it passes our basic quality assurance tests. We hope this can be completed in the next 24 hours, but will definitely have something for you no later than the evening of Saturday, October 4th.
The good news is that the 2.0.0b12 version will provide you with many bug fixes and improvements based on your feedback.
Nevertheless, I and the TroikaTronix team apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.
But it is precisely for situations like this that we asked you to include this line in your early adopters statement:
If I choose to use the public beta version in a production, I do so at my own risk; I understand that crashes and unexpected behavior are possible until the final version of Isadora 2.0 is released.
We are going to make Isadora 2.0 the best version yet, and I know a lot of you have already benefited greatly from the performance improvements and new features. We're on a good track to make a rock-solid release in November. Thank you for your help as we move towards that important milestone.
Sincerely,
Mark Coniglio
