BTW how do you access AU controls within Isadora. I never figured this out - I have used Plogue Bidule instead. But is it supposed to be possible?

The AU plugins have to be connected on both sides the input and the output. Then you can double click it to enter it and change the controlls. Didnt know that till the Creative Space in berlin, btw is there going to be such event soon?

                Ey!

I am looking on a spectrum analizer myself for isadora (Win)
I suppose that this is not for me if I am working on windows since I only see vst / vst3 availability for windows.
I also read that they have "AudioUnit" for mac, and I have been reading in different posts mentions to AU in mac version of isadora. What is this Au thing about?
Going back to the spectrum analizer, I am thinking that I could also build a very rudimentary one with "Sound Frequency Watcher". Did anybody try something like this already?

                i5 M520 @ 2.40GHz / 4Gb Ram / Win 7 - izzy 2.2.2
                i7 7700HQ @ 2.8GHz / 16Gb Ram / Win 10 - izzy 2.6.1 / GeForce GTX 1060
                AMD Ryzen 7 5800H / 16Gb Ram / Windows 11 / Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz

Audio Units (AU) are plugins/extensions for the OS X Core Audio system. Any software like Isadora that supports Audio Units can use the plugins.
The spectrum analyser is pretty darn nice and a pity the graphics can't be used or these data accessed.

                    Hello,

this thread is somewhat older, but i have a question about connecting audio actors.
AU and audio core actors need an audio in connection. But the movie and sound player doesn't provide an audio out.
Only the sound input actor does have one.
Isn't it possible to send sound from the movieplayer through any effects directly?

                      Dear @DiffTheKraut,

We don't have support for feeding audio out of Movies directly into the Core Audio chain. The workaround (on Mac OS Only) is to route the audio outputs of the Movie to Soundflower, then receive the Soundflower input in Core Audio.
                      Best,

Another way, a bit more stable is to loop your sound interface (if you use one) with SPDIF or toslink.

I do that with my motu Ultralite and it works well, so you can have direct output and output coming back trough the loop. And it works also on Windows…
