BLACK MAGIC CAPTURE HARDWARE + NEW MAC PRO

I currently have a setup for a multimedia play. I have a macPRO 2011 with deck link QUAD from black magic outputting two projections with 1024 x 768 resolution. Everything is running smooth, the problem is, next project we will have 4 output projections, so I'll need more performance power. So I figured out that maybe the new MACPRO with 6 thunderbolt output's could be the real deal.So the first question is, as deck link QUAD from black magic is an onboard video capture card, what would be the best option for the new macPRO? Is there an external video capture hardware that could input me 4 SDI inputs?Second question is, as the new MACPRO is coming with factory installed YOSEMITE, do you guys have any experience with ISADORA 2.0 and the latest os? My recent experience says classic movie players crash all the time.... -

I can't speak to the Mac Pro with six thunderbolt outputs, as I've not tried it myself. [This thread in our forum](http://troikatronix.com/troikatronixforum/discussion/1922/mac-pro-round-six-outputs-how) may help.As to Yosemite, the 2.0 update will address any negative experiences you've had with the Classic Movie Players under 10.9 and 10.10\. That was one of the main reasons for the 2.0 update. You can now use either AVFoundation -- the more modern system for playing video -- or QuickTime when you need certain kinds of interactive performance that AVFoundation doesn't do. But in both cases, the playback runs in a separate "faceless background application" to prevent these kinds of crashes.If you haven't purchased the update, please do. You'll get a lot of "bang for your buck" with Movie Playback performance as well as all the other new features.Best Wishes,Mark -
The blackmagic quad will work fine in an external chasis, unless you really want to purchase a new solution (Quad HDSDI 4K connections can be used with some trickery). Yosemite and Isadora 2.0 is a definite step up.
